Vineyard Treasures
As I was browsing the myriad of beauty products at Seporah the other day, a sales person approached me. Thinking my usual, oh god I just want to look, I was pleasantly surprised as she handed me a free sample of one of the products on the wall in front of me. She showed me the cluster of grapes on the packaging and explained that this company, Caudalie, is also a winery. After all the grapes had been used for wine they did not know what to do with the left over seeds, oils and unused grapes. Learning about the amount of antioxidants in grapes they decided to start a skin care company with the extras from their vineyard.
What I love about this company is that they use everything that the earth has to offer, nothing goes to waste, and it both contributes and beautifies. In addition to this they use all natural ingredients. They have even found a flower extract that replaces synthetic preservatives.
I have just started to use the eye and lip contour cream that claims to, “reduce wrinkles, lighten dark circles, decongest and protect the skin from free radicals”. The free radicals part really grabbed me, as I live in LA. I have not been using it long enough to be able to tell anything about the results of the product, but what I can tell you is that it feels wonderful on your skin. And there is just something about knowing that what you are putting on your skin comes from a vineyard in France, it gives you visions of beauty every time you use it.
