Chanel Le Crayon Levres, Precision Lip Definer

chanel-lip.jpgThis little beauty is your greatest asset. Why is this your greatest asset? Because first and foremost, a lip pencil defines your lips and therefore brings to the forefront every beautiful feature in your face and draws attention away from those features you tend to like less. It also makes your lips full and gorgeous regardless of whether you are doing a pale lip or a center stage red lip, both of which are very in style at the moment.

Why is this lip pencil/lip brush combination your greatest asset? Because Chanel has the best lip brush on the market hands down; the great lip pencil is just an added bonus where the lip brush is concerned. First of all, its shorter and slightly thicker than most lip brushes and it’s edges are angled inward, allowing for a more precise application. It is also soft but not too soft, this makes it very easy to get the exact look you want at every corner and edge.

Tips and tricks for lip pencils: If you want fuller lips apply the pencil just outside of your natural lip line and fill in between the color line and the natural lip line. Brush the lip pencil in vertical strokes on your upper and lower lips to add a touch of color to the lip, this will help your lipstick last longer. Finish by sweeping the lip brush in vertical sweeps working from the center of the lip towards to outer corner to distribute the color and soften the edge. You now have a great base to build your lipstick on or to add a bit of lip gloss to for a slightly lighter look.

stila-illuminating.jpgThis is a comment from one of my readers in response to Get A Summer Glow, it perfectly embodies the glow of the moment. I love the “like you just came off the beach” bit! Stila’s illuminator is a must! Check out what she has to say:

“I love the glow too. My favorite is Stila’s illuminated tinted face moisturizer with SPF 15. It gives that perfect glow like you just came off the beach. I put it all over my face just like a normal moisturizer and then use powder on my t-zone, a little blush, and some eye shadow with a natural lip gloss. It’s great!”
