The Joys Of Brush-On Eye Liner

Filed Under Blog, Makeup | Leave a Comment

clinique-cream-liner.jpgClinique’s new tag line “Discover the smoky intrigue of Fall” definitely peaked my interest, but what really grabbed my attention was the collection of Brush-On Cream Liners.

If you have not yet discovered the joys of cream liners, I urge you to partake. They will forever shift how you think about eyeliner. Brush on eyeliners are so easy to apply, fun to play with, and they last twice as long as a pencil liner.

Because you have a brush to work with you can lay down a thin line and leave it at that (great for just a hint of black or chocolate liner to open the eye) or, because of the brush, it is so easy to build your liner to the look and thickness you want. And because they are so easy to apply you can create the look you want in half the time.

The Right Setting For Your Flat Iron

Filed Under Blog, Hair | Leave a Comment

Are you using the right heat setting for your flat iron and styling iron? What do all those temperature settings mean? Well here is the definitive guide for every type of hair.

If you have damage hair you should definitely start with a cooler setting 240 degrees (F), 40 degrees (C), the rule of using a cooler setting for damaged hair goes for your hair dryer as well. For very course hair your iron will most likely give you the best results on the highest setting.

Making sure you use the correct heat setting for your type of hair will help protect your hair from damage and leave it as soft and silky as possible. Follow the guide below for your best results.

Summer Pedicure Trend

Filed Under Blog, Nails | Leave a Comment

bright-toes-2.jpgI just got back from getting a pedicure and let me tell you, there is nothing that makes a woman feel sexier than pretty toes. All you have to do is take a peak down at your toes to be reminded of how beautiful you are.

Whatever your favorite pedicure color is, love it or hate it, the biggest trend in toes this summer is bright crazy colors like orange, gold, and blue. It’s not that this is the only trend, it just happens to be the one popping up everywhere.

I wasn’t sure how I felt about these unusual picks until I saw them on quite a few of my friends and I must say, they look really great with your best fake bake. Tan toes and VINYL Deborah Lippmann in Call Me look very sexy and a dark gold metallic will look great with those gold snakeskin sandals you’ve been saving for that special evening. I can’t resist Vinyl’s chic little bottles anyway, so this is a great excuse to pick up one more!

Fall 2007 Sneak Peak

Filed Under Blog, Fashion, Seasonal | Leave a Comment

giorgio-armani-prive-2.jpgI am loving the Fall 2007 Giorgio Armani Privè collection so much that I thought I would give you a sneak peak into what’s coming up for fall. The soft, light grays he choose are stunning combined with electric colors of bright yellow, orange, and blue. They will look especially fetching with the new eye shadows being seen from Bobbi Brown’s Stonewashed Nudes fall collection and, as I mentioned earlier this week, Urban Decay’s new matte shadows in revolver and cult.

Also coming up for Fall 2007: Gray is showing up on every runway as are graphic prints and black. But don’t let this make you think it’s all about just those colors. This Fall collection wouldn’t be complete without the gorgeous array of colors influenced by nature, like teal, emerald green, and deep ocean blue. And I’m loving the blue gray tights and boots with cut velvet teal seen on the Allegra Hicks runway. Other key trends: purple, pencil shapes and studs!

Stay tuned in August for the ultimate fall fashion guide!
