fall-fur-3.jpgLadies are you ready for Fall? This Fall is so big and so gorgeous that it is going to be in two fabulous parts! This is everything you need to know to be up to the minute for Fall 2007:

The Colors for Fall: Gray and purple are the colors for fall and they are everywhere! Gray takes the lead showing up on every runway, in every store and as a beautiful part of all the Fall accessories. Following gray, purple is the “it” color, a deep gorgeous royal purple. Wear it in everything from purple dyed faux fur to your evening dresses. Last but not least Teal is making small appearances here and there from the London runways to H & M and it looks gorgeous paired with gray!

The Sheath Dress: If you only buy one dress for Fall make it a sheath dress. This sophisticated style which echoes everyone from Audrey Hepburn to every editor Vogue has ever seen is part of this Fall’s sculpted styles and works well for every age range. Wear it with heals and, unlike the short sheath of Spring, make sure the hemline hits below the knee.

Fur!: Oh boy, it’s everywhere (and PETA is not happy)! After the egg throwings surrounding this trend a few years ago designers either got very brave or just forgot the past turmoil, regardless this Fall trend is gorgeous and glamorous. If you are an animal lover like me then embrace this look with faux fur, but no matter how you embrace it add it to everything. Fur coats are obviously gorgeous, but that’s not the only way to wear this trend, add a fur hemline to a skirt, buy a sweater trimmed with fur or simply wrap a fur shaw around your neck to add a hint of the glamor of Fall.

The Lengths for Fall: Skirt and dress lengths this fall are either very, very short, just below the knee or mid calf. If you choose a very short length wear it with this Fall’s chic boots. For below the knee lengths it’s either a sculpted dress or pencil skirt hitting just below the knee or a sculpted look flaring a bit at mid calf, these both look great with this season’s 1940’s influenced heels.

gucci-lips-fall-2007.jpgRed Lips: If you haven’t already noticed red lips are the number one way to update your look for Fall. There is barely a magazine add, runway, or fashion spread without red lips. Make sure you pick a shade that works for you: if you have a warm and light completion choose a warm light red, a warm dark completion will look wonderful with a deep brick red, cool dark completions should opt for deep blue based reds and cool light completions will look great in reds with berry tones. Don’t forget the liner to perfect the look of your red lips!

Berets and Cloches: Hats are back and they are showing up in the form of the ever chic beret and cloche. The most popular color is of course gray, but black is also all the rage for these of the moment accessories. Nothing could look more glamorous than this season’s red lip and one of these fabulous hats in fur!

High Waisted, Wide Leg Trousers: Think Katherine Hepburn elegance, this trend will make you look tall, slim and very elegant. Cuffs or no cuffs it doesn’t matter, just make sure you have a pair.

gray-oxford-2.jpgOxford Heels and Ankle Boots: Heeled ankle boots are still going strong from last year, but this Fall’s star shoe is the oxford heel! This trend looks fabulous with this Fall’s trousers, skirts and opaque tights.

Opaque Tights: Still going strong from last year but with the new color of gray added, wear these with heeled oxfords, ankle boots, anything and everything. To make the transition from summer to fall pair your heeled sandals with black opaque tights for a modern sexy look.

    Hi Sweetie,

You are amazing. I love your site. Keep it up. I like some info on the best skin care products for this mature face of mine. I have been using Arbonne’s RE 9 products for 2 years faithfully and like them very much, but is there something better.

    Rae Deane
