Did you know that Lush’s products are so fresh that they even come with a sticker telling you the date they were made and the date they are best used by? I absolutely love using something so fresh and natural that I actually know my product was made by a woman named Gabrielle on June 13, 2007 and is best used by August 13, 2008. Are the rest of the products in your boudoir that fresh? Do you know when they were made or how old they are? It makes me wonder what they put in the products that last for years and how good or bad that is for your skin!
With Lush you can count on just made products and wonderful scents! Here are a few of my favorites:
Karma Kream: This stuff smells so unusually exotic and leaves your skin extra, extra soft! I usually cannot stand anything with patchouli oil in it, however this mix is quite enticing and I really like it. It smells like orange and neroli with a little bit of patchouli mixed in, this gives the patchouli a softer edge and it actually smells really wonderful when blended with orange. This lotion is more strongly scented than most of my collection, so I don’t use it everyday but when I want something special I love how soft it makes my skin and how the scent doesn’t fade.
Fair Trade Foot Lotion: Oh yeah, lotion that makes your piggies feel good and is ethically traded! This is not the lotion I use if I want to make my feet incredibly soft, however this is the lotion I use at the end of the day when my feet are aching and tired and I want them to feel better fast. It’s no wonder this lotion makes my aches go away, it’s formulated with Arnica Montana and Spearmint Oil, both of which are wonderful for muscle aches. This lotion makes my feet feel so refreshed, my muscles feel so much better, and because of the peppermint and spearmint, it improves the circulation in my feet and makes my toes look bright and refreshed. Just the thought of it makes me want to give myself a foot massage. I love that this lotion smells of spearmint rather than peppermint like most other foot lotion, it smells like the mint in my garden!
Silky Underwear: How can a powder by a light moisturizer? With cocoa butter beads! This powder leaves you smelling like a flower! A gorgeous mix of sensuous jasmine perfume and exotic vetivert this blend has a very modern flower scent to it. My only complaint is that it doesn’t come with a powder puff. But don’t let that stop you from trying this wonderful powder, if you are looking for a powder that won’t dry your skin out and will leave you smelling wonderful, this is your perfect dust!

Skin Milk Shaving Milk

I am loving, I repeat loving, this shaving cream. I have never, until now, found a shaving cream that both leaves my legs very moisturized and gives me a close shave. Skin Milk Shaving Cream does both beautifully.
This shaving milk has a creamy texture that is not to thick nor to thin and a pleasant fresh milk and vanilla scent. It seems to give me an extra layer of protection while still giving me a close shave and, major points, it doesn’t clog my razor. I never have any nicks or cuts while still getting a very close shave and my legs are left comfortably moisturized. I’ve even noticed that the post shaving lotion I use on my legs works even better when I use this shaving cream.
This luxurious cream has 5% real milk protein plus vitamins A, D, and E to leave your skin very well taken care of. I love using products with milk in them, they smell so fresh, Cleopatra certainly knew what she was talking about.
After using this cream for the past two weeks, I wouldn’t reach for anything else for shaving my legs. And for the suggested retail price of $4.99, who can beat that deal?

Beautiful Skin While Working Out

A little while back a reader wrote me with a question that I think may pertain to a lot of you that either workout daily or are fitness instructors. Here is her question:

If you are having to wash your face more then twice a day for any reason, it would be best to find a different solution for your skin. Over washing your face can overstimulate your skin causing redness, excess oil, or dryness depending on your skin type. The best solution to this problem is to use a cleanser that leaves your skin nourished and moisturized. When you are finished working out and your skin has been sweating a lot instead of using water to rinse your face, use a toner.
