Beauty Must Haves Of The Week

scrub-sunshine-day-2.jpgI have just finished a wonderful week long vacation in sunny San Diego, CA! While I was there a few products proved surprisingly invaluable in my beauty routine. Since they made such a difference for me, I thought I would share them with you. Here are my favorites for the week to keep you looking great!

The Grapeseed Company Sunshine Day Organic Sugar Body Scrub: This is the only scrub I’ve been using all week and while I loved it before, I love it even more now. The more you use this scrub the better it gets! Every day my skin got softer, felt smoother, and my skin felt so well taken care of. I highly recommend adding this scrub to your beauty routine and it smells delicious to boot!

Phyto Protective Beach Spray: This product proved invaluable for keeping my red hair red while sunning and swimming. A must for hair protection in any sort of environment where fun in the sun is the rule.

Neutrogena Fresh Cooling Body Mist Sunblock: When you are in the sun all day, walking, running and in and out of the water there is nothing you need more than a fast easy sunblock that does a great job. Neutrogena’s Fresh Cooling Body Mist Sunblock is just that. It kept me cool all week, I never got a burn and I came back with a nice tan. I now keep this in my purse at all times!

Terax Life Drops: The best leave in conditioner on the planet, no exaggeration! Even though, while on vacation, I washed my hair every morning, jumping in and out of the pool usually leaves my hair knotted, damaged and in bad need of moisture. Not with Life Drops! Every time I came back from the pool I ran a bit of these miracle drops through my hair and my hair was always soft, very shiny, and smelled like pots de creme. This is one conditioner I will never be without.

Brown Bag Botanicals Chocolate Body Butter: I received samples of this body butter a few weeks ago. Usually when I have little sample jars I give them away to friends and family, I simply have to many products to keep up with little jars. Not with this product! This butter smells so amazing and leaves your skin so soft that I guiltily kept it all to myself. This stuff is so good, all I need now is a larger jar of it!

Fall 2007 Fashion Report: Part II

fall-knits-mk-4.jpgNow is the time to stock up on all the gorgeous Fall fashion so when the chilly weather hits you are ready to hit the streets with the latest looks for this season! Here’s part two of the Fall 2007 Fashion Report:

Knits: They are bold, gorgeous and oh so touchable. Make sure you have a big, chunky very soft sweater in your closest this season, when the knits feel this good you won’t even want to take them off. My favorite look for Fall knits: A knee length chunky cardigan in one of Fall’s bold color’s with fur trimming. Could you feel more glamorous?

Pencil Skirts: Another must have, they are knee length, just below the knee and half calf, whichever length you choose they look very sexy with this season’s shoes.

1940’s style waves: To match the red lips for Fall make sure you take advantage of this very feminine and yet powerful look. These waves look great with both the skirts, shift dress and wide leg pants showing up on all the runways.

Sequins: This Fall is all about embellishing your look and sequins are one of the top ways to do it. On a hand bag, on a sweater, add a sequined hair pin to your waves for a beautiful evening look.

Waist Length Jackets and Blazers: Blazers are all over the place and they are being shown with pipping and accents, like gold pins and contrasting plaid patches. Continuing the trend in waist length jackets, your fall wardrobe won’t be complete without a leather waist length fitted or bomber jacket!

Camel: Oh, my absolute favorite, season after season! This is a lesser trend than gray and purple, but an equally important one, camel is showing up on sweaters, fur coats, pencil skirts and shoes. It looks great in the season’s chunky knits.

long-multi-gloves2.jpgLong Gloves: Can you believe it? This is most definitely the season of both lady like and powerful women, what a great combination! The glove is back and it’s past the elbow, bold, and luxurious. Make sure you check out H & M’s delicious selection of long gloves!

The Cape: A perfect fit for a season of long gloves, waves, red lips and berets, the cape is back in bold, eye-catching colors. Whether you love capes or you’ve never had the pleasure of wearing one, this is the easiest way to keep warm and look fabulous.

Shoes with Ankle Straps: What else would you expect from a season of 1940’s styles? These shoes are gorgeous and look great with each and every style of the season.

Tuberose, Scent Of The Moment

tuberose_sheacream.jpgIn the fragrance world tuberose is what it’s all about right now. It’s what makes Michael Kors Fragrance so intoxicating and it’s what sets Bond No. 9’s Fire Island in a world of it’s own. With the release of Estee Lauder’s Private Collection Tuberose and Gardenia (available now at Saks, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and Holt Renfrew), tuberose is officially the fragrance of the moment.

If you are looking for a body cream that is a perfect compliment to these fragrances look no further than Terra Nova’s Tuberose Shea & Cocoa Butter Softest Skin Body Butter. This body butter could not smell more wonderful, it’s so creamy and leaves your skin softer than soft. A gorgeous compliment to both tuberose and gardenia fragrances, this is the perfect accessory for your favorite fragrance and at 19.95 it’s a much better deal than the 50 to 75 dollars you will pay for the Body Cream version of these perfumes (it leaves you skin softer too).
