Fall 2007 Sneak Peak

Filed Under Blog, Fashion, Seasonal | Leave a Comment

giorgio-armani-prive-2.jpgI am loving the Fall 2007 Giorgio Armani Privè collection so much that I thought I would give you a sneak peak into what’s coming up for fall. The soft, light grays he choose are stunning combined with electric colors of bright yellow, orange, and blue. They will look especially fetching with the new eye shadows being seen from Bobbi Brown’s Stonewashed Nudes fall collection and, as I mentioned earlier this week, Urban Decay’s new matte shadows in revolver and cult.

Also coming up for Fall 2007: Gray is showing up on every runway as are graphic prints and black. But don’t let this make you think it’s all about just those colors. This Fall collection wouldn’t be complete without the gorgeous array of colors influenced by nature, like teal, emerald green, and deep ocean blue. And I’m loving the blue gray tights and boots with cut velvet teal seen on the Allegra Hicks runway. Other key trends: purple, pencil shapes and studs!

Stay tuned in August for the ultimate fall fashion guide!

Nature Girl Organic Body Oil “Contour”

Filed Under Bath & Body, Blog, Seasonal, Skin Care | Leave a Comment

body-oil-ng-3.jpgWhile enjoying my Independence Day at the beach yesterday I made the horrendous mistake of forgetting to lather myself in sunscreen. Even though it was cloudy I know to use sunscreen, but somehow I was having so much fun I was simply oblivious to the fact that I was slowly turning into a lobster. Needless to say by the end of the day my skin felt like a firework going off, hot and burning.

I would normally use aloe in the situation, however while aloe feels good when you first put it on the cool sensation fades quickly and it usually only speeds up the healing process by a day or two. I was curious if there was anything else that might work better. After looking at the ingredients in Nature Girl’s My Life As A Nature Girl Organic Body Oil Contour I decided that I had found exactly I was looking for. This stuff is full of everything that could possibly heal your skin and make your sunburn feel better: organic golden jojoba oil, organic sweet almond oil, organic calendula oil, organic African shea butter oil, and Vitamin’s A, C, and E.

Boy was this the stuff I wanted! It feels so good on my skin, it sooths the sunburn, keeps my skin supple, and I know these ingredients are wonderful for healing my skin on a deep level. The Contour oil also has Cypress Leaf and Juniper Berry to smooth and condition the skin. I’ve been using it since last night and my sunburn looks considerably less red and feels worlds better. If you get the accidental sunburn, you will want this oil in your collection!

The My Life As A Nature Girl Organic Body Oil also comes in Tone: with Moroccan Blue Chamomile and Italian Bergamot to condition, enhance and protect the skin, Sports: with Ravintsara, Peppermint and Eucalyptus Leaf to relax and calm muscles after exercise, Relax: with Geranium Leaf and Clary Sage to soothe and calm the body and mind, Renew: with Bulgarian Rose and French Lavender to rejuvenate and uplift the senses, and Surf: featuring Madagascan Geranium and Ylang Ylang to condition and replenish skin after a day in the surf and sun.

The Best Summertime Cool Down Treat!

cucumber-melon-4.jpgDo you know the best way to cool down fast during the summer? Put your body spritzer in the refrigerator! When you’ve been out in the heat and you’re exhausted and really needing something refreshing this is a sure bet.

If you want something unscented try throwing a Evian Brumisateur Facial Spray in the fridge. This feels so incredibly good on your skin when it’s hot outside.

My favorite is to chill Bath & Body Works Signature Collection Body Splash. This not only cools me off, but it smells wonderful and a great scent is so refreshing on warm skin. The Black Raspberry Vanilla and the Cucumber Melon are amazing scents for summer!
